FrOSCon

The Free and Open Source Conference is hosted by the BRSU Department of Computer Science in cooperation with the department's students' council, the Linux/Unix User Group Sankt Augustin and the FrOSCon e.V. (registered association).

As in years before the organizers expect up to 1.500 participants.

Registration has been closed, however there will be tickets for the price of 5€ at the cash register both on  Saturday and Sunday.

The programme offers a huge variety of interesting lectures, workshops and an exhibition of projects and companies.

• Programme Highlights

For the first time this year there will be not only child care during the day, but a separate programme for kids and youngsters from age 10-14 and 15-18.These lectures and workshops are on offer Saturday and Sunday from 09:30 am to 5 pm.

• Kids and Youth Track

At the Social Event on Saturday evening  visitors can meet the lecturers and organizers and participate at the award ceremony for the second Creative Contest (theme: "Frog").
